Grant Opportunities

FIRST SA occasionally receive grants that can be utilized to grow FIRST Tech Challenge in South Africa. We have received a grant from DOW to support three new FTC Teams for the 2024/2025 season. The Grants are managed by FIRST South Africa (NPO) and given to new South African teams that must have an assigned coach and mentor in order to prepare the team for their FIRST TECH Challenge experience.

Our grant committee evaluates grant applications based on a solid business plan that highlights the sustainability and growth of the team. This business plan needs to be completed to support the grant application. The grant only provides a FTC Robotics startup kit for the first year. We expect teams to be self sustainable based on the submitted business model.
